July 6: Psalm 105

Psalm 105

“He has remembered His covenant forever … saying, ‘To you I will give the land of Canaan’ … when they were only a few men in number, and strangers in it” (v8-12). The psalmist told us to remember God’s wonderful deeds. If we don’t, we might forget that the Israelites were “few in number,” vulnerable and anonymous, when He covenanted with them. Even when they were slaves in Egypt, He loved them and was working on their behalf.

Before we have achieved anything, before anyone else knows our name, God loves us.
