July 7: Job 27-28

Job 27-28

“But where can wisdom be found? God understands its way; and He knows its place” (28:12-23). The world did not make sense to Job anymore. If righteous people could lose everything in a heartbeat, concepts like justice and fairness seemed meaningless. But Job believed that the universe makes sense to God. He knows right from wrong, and He sees the beginning and the end. God “looks to the ends of the earth, and sees everything under the heavens” (v24).

Honoring the Creator “is wisdom, and to depart from evil is understanding” (v28). Life makes sense to God, and we can trust Him.
