Isaiah 18-20

“Blessed is Egypt My people, and Assyria the work of My hands, and Israel My inheritance” (19:24).  While the nations of the Middle East continue to be in conflict, this amazing promise remains true.  Isaiah saw beyond the wars of the present to the miracle of the future: a time when Egypt “will return to the Lord, and He will respond to them and will heal them” (19:22).  Nations that constantly fight for supremacy will join together to bow before the King.

God’s love extends to those who are His enemies, and He declares that He will send them “a Savior and a Champion” (v20).
