June 21: II Corinthians 6

II Corinthians 6

“And working together with Him, we also urge you not to receive the grace of God in vain” (v1).  Paul told the Corinthians that receiving God’s grace through Jesus Christ was for a purpose: to make us new creatures, inside and out, being transformed into the image of the Son.  What does that transformed life look like?  Paul and Timothy gave examples: hardships and distress, but also patience, kindness, and genuine love (v4-6).  They defended themselves with “weapons of righteousness,” and though poor, they “possess all things” (v7-10).

When we receive God’s grace in Jesus, God begins to “walks among us” (v16).
