June 29: Psalm 104

Psalm 104

“O Lord, how many are Thy works! In wisdom Thou hast made them all; the earth is full of Thy possessions” (v24). This psalm rejoices in God’s dominion over His wonderful earth. God “walks upon the wings of the wind” and set the boundaries of mountains and seas. He created a life-giving cycle of plants, animals, and people, all working and growing and enjoying His bounty (v10-23). Nothing in this universe is out of God’s control; nothing scares Him or defeats Him.

“Let the Lord be glad in His works” (v31). We were created to enjoy God and His works, and to make Him glad.
