II Corinthians 2:12-17
“But thanks be to God, who always leads us in His triumph in Christ” (v14). Whether in prison or free, in comfort or discomfort, Paul had the assurance that God was causing His good purposes to be worked out in his life. In “every place,” Paul and his friends were the “fragrance of Christ” to those around them (v15). Paul had no other agenda; he wasn’t “peddling the word of God” for money or to increase his fame or status (v17). He simply wanted to spread the good news of Jesus.
Whatever our particular calling, we are the “fragrance of Christ” as we serve Him in the world.
