Matthew 21:1-11
“Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!” (v9). The crowds cheered Jesus as He rode through Jerusalem, using words from Psalm 118. That psalm also calls the Messiah the “stone that the builders rejected” which has become “the chief cornerstone.” Some in those crowds must have seen Jesus touch blind eyes and teach with authority, and they recognized that He came in God’s name. They may not have understood His purpose completely, but they celebrated Him.
“Who is Jesus?” (v10). From our first steps of faith until eternity, how we respond to Jesus will always be the heart of faith.
