March 16: Matthew 21:12-46

Matthew 21:12-46

“And the blind and the lame came to Him in the temple, and He healed them” (v14). Jesus had enormous compassion for those who were hurting, those who were broken, and those who recognized their need for a Savior. But people who flaunted their sin, such as the crafty, manipulative Temple merchants (v12), found Him to be a fierce advocate of righteousness. He was not fooled by the false righteousness of the Pharisees.

Saying the right things or looking respectable (v29) is not enough. God sees our hearts and looks for humility and the desire for transformation.
