Proverbs 4

“Let your eyes look directly ahead” (v25).  In order to stay on God’s path, we must keep our eyes fixed on Jesus (Heb 12:2).  Other paths may seem attractive to us, but we are warned to “Watch over your heart with all diligence” (v2), and “Do not enter the path of the wicked” (v14).  While we live in a confusing world, we have all the power of the Spirit available to help us.

The good news is that “the path of the righteous … grows brighter and brighter” (v18).  As we follow Jesus, His ways and truth shine brighter and stronger within us.
