Psalm 92

“The righteous man will flourish like a palm tree … planted in the house of the Lord” (v12-13).  If our achievements and happiness depend only on ourselves, then the future is to be feared.  But, the psalmist said, when our roots are in God and we are “planted” in Him, our lives have eternal meaning and purpose.  Nothing - age, sickness, accidents, loss – nothing can shake the continued growth and fruitfulness of a person dedicated to God.  “They will still yield fruit in old age” (v14). 

We can continue to declare, now and into eternity, “He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him” (v15).
