Psalm 95

“For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand” (v7).  This is the core belief of the people of God.  He is the Creator: “The sea is His, for it was He who made it” (v5), and He is also our God: “the rock of our salvation” (v1).  Unfortunately, a certain generation of Israelites “hardened their hearts” to this miracle-working God, and they didn’t enter the Promised Land. 

When we “kneel before the Lord our Maker” (v6), in trust and humility, He pours out the mercy and help we need.
