Numbers 19-20
“And why have you made us come up from Egypt to bring us in to this wretched place?” (20:5). The Israelites still could not see their journey in the desert through eyes of faith. They only saw what they didn’t have: grain, figs, vines, and pomegranates. They were blind to the miracles and the presence of the Creator. Unfortunately, their constant complaining wore down Moses’ patience, and he, too, sinned against God (v12).
Paul said we “walk by faith, not by sight” (2 Cor 5:7) – not only faith in Jesus’ sacrifice, but also in His power to help us on the journey.
