Psalm 93
"The Lord reigns, He is clothed with majesty" (v1). The enormity and permanence of the natural world inspired the psalmist to lift up his eyes to the Creator, who is "from everlasting" (v2). "The world is firmly established" (v1); neither politics nor high-speed technological change can disrupt the seasons or the stars. But compared to God, the universe itself is fragile. "More than the ... mighty breakers of the sea, the Lord on high is mighty" (v4).
Whatever we do, whatever happens in our world, God will not change. He will always be holy, beautiful, mighty, and full of love.
