I Corinthians 15

“We shall bear the image of the heavenly” (v49).  Our hope, said Paul, is that this life is not the end.  The spiritual re-birth we have experienced by faith in Jesus Christ will one day affect our bodies as well.  Physically, we are all dying, “perishable.”  But one day we will “put on the imperishable, and this mortal will have put on immortality” (v54).  The struggles and grief we experience in a broken world will be “swallowed up in victory” (v54). 

“We shall all be changed” (v51).  Our transformation from death to life has already begun, and we can trust that it will be completed (v20-23).
