May 31: Mark 15:1-41

Mark 15:1-41

“And answering He said to him, ‘It is as you say’” (15:2).  Before Pilate and the Jewish Council (ch 14), Jesus didn’t bother answering the ridiculous charges of insulting the Temple.  But when questioned about being the Messiah, Jesus answered without hesitation (14:62, 15: 2).  He boldly proclaimed that “if you have seen Me, you have seen the Father,” because only by confronting this reality could men and women be saved.

Jesus, “God in the flesh,” still has power to upset people today.  Our job is not to soften or package the truth, but to faithfully proclaim Jesus as Messiah, Savior of the world.
