Job 41-42
“And the Lord restored the fortunes of Job …” (42:10). Seeing God and hearing Him speak “out of the whirlwind” was enough for Job; he had no more questions (42:5-6). However, having proved His power, God then poured out blessings on this “blameless and upright” (ch 1) man, doubling Job’s possessions. Job’s stubborn questions were neither the cause of his trouble, nor did they prevent God from accepting him.
While Job received earthly blessings, Paul tells us that there is much more to come: “The sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared to the glory that is to be revealed to us” (Rom 8:18).
