John 21

"Come and have breakfast" (v12). The disciples had already seen the Risen Christ twice (v14), yet they were still questioning. What would happen next? After a night of hopeless fishing, Jesus told them how to fill their nets with fish. Immediately they knew, "It is the Lord" (v8). Only Jesus supplied exactly what they needed in the moment of need. He had breakfast ready for them, and He charged them with this mission: "Tend My sheep" (v17).

The Risen Christ, though transformed, was the same Jesus the disciples already knew. Full of love and mercy, the same yesterday, today, and forever.
