I Peter 5

“Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God … casting all your anxiety upon Him, because He cares for you” (v6-7). Peter said that the secret to walking with Christ in power and abundance is humility. Though some are called to be shepherds and others “the flock,” all are called to “clothe yourselves with humility toward one another.” The devil “prowls around like a roaring lion,” but, firm in our faith and strengthened by others, we can resist.

Humbly, we remember that God is our King, and He will “perfect, confirm, strengthen, and establish” us (v10).
