I Samuel 30-31
"You must not do so, my brothers, with what the Lord has given us" (30:23). Since God had helped David's men rescue their stolen families and livestock, he refused to let anyone hoard the spoils. Those tired men who had "stayed with the baggage" were given respect as part of the team, sharing in the reward. He extended this policy "from that day forward" (v25).
The New Testament says we are "one body," with various gifts given to us by God. Our battles are won with His help, in unity with each other.
