Acts 3

"For you first, God raised up His Servant and sent Him to bless you by turning every one of you from your wicked ways” (v26).  Peter challenged the Jews who saw the lame man healed to accept that Jesus, “the Author of Life,” was the Messiah they were waiting for (v20).  Jesus had been raised from the dead, and He was the fulfillment of God’s promise to bless “all the families of the earth” (v26).

When we turn from our sinful attempts to be our own gods, we find Jesus is the One we are waiting for, the fulfillment of all our hopes.
