Acts 4

“Now as they observed the confidence of Peter and John and understood that they were uneducated and untrained men, they were amazed” (v13).  Peter and John knew Jesus was alive; what could this Council do to them now that the power of the resurrection had begun?  Their rock-solid security and boldness astonished the religious leaders, and they “began to recognize them as having been with Jesus.”

If we know our lives are “hidden with Christ in God” (Col 3:3), that we are secure now and forever in His care, our lives will be marked by the same God-given boldness.
