Psalm 61
"From the end of the earth I call to Thee ... lead me to the rock that is higher than I" (v2). The psalmist's cry for help expresses tremendous trust in the Creator. God is the rock that is higher. He is the tower of strength against the enemy (v3). He is our home, the "tent" where we can rest (v4). And God is the parent who spreads out His enormous wings so that His children can hide during the storm.
The only thing keeping us from God's lovingkindness is pride. When we admit we need Him, He is our refuge.
