Proverbs 16
"How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! And to get understanding is to be chosen above silver" (v16). In a time of global and personal economic disruption, the gift of wisdom looks extremely valuable. Cars, clothes and houses filled with beautiful things can't rescue us; we need wisdom to make good choices. Thankfully, God does not leave us alone to stumble through the challenge. "Commit your works to the Lord, and your plans will be established" (v3).
"He who is slow to anger" and "rules his spirit" (v32) is on the way to developing wisdom.
