Psalm 62
"Once God has spoken, twice I have heard this: that power belongs to God; and lovingkindness is Thine" (v11-12). The psalmist reminded himself (and others) of this truth, knowing that living in a corrupted earth can make us doubt. Personal tragedy and global confusion combine to create huge burdens of anxiety, and we look everywhere for answers. But the psalmist warns that neither human leaders (v9) nor riches (v10) can offer the security we crave.
"Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us" (v8). God only is our hope, our unshakeable rock of strength (v1,5-7).
