I Peter 4-5
“The end of all things is at hand; therefore, be of sound judgment and sober spirit for the purpose of prayer” (4:7). Peter wanted believers to grasp how precious life is; our time is too short to waste on destructive habits or lies (4:3). God has given us gifts and purpose (4:10). We can face both suffering and temptation (4:12, 5:8) with confidence that God will help us, “casting all your anxiety upon Him, for He cares for you” (5:7).
We can face life with courage and love, “by the strength which God supplies; so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ” (4:11).
