Acts 4:14-37
"And with great power the apostles were giving witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus" (v33). The believers asked God to help them "speak Thy word with all confidence" (v29). There was powerful credibility and authenticity in their witness at this moment, because "signs and wonders" were happening, and also because they were living in a radical new way. The lame man walking was a sign of Jesus' Kingdom, and so was sharing all things as common property. This new, voluntary generosity defied all human traditions.
The daily lives of the believers demonstrated God's Kingdom - and thousands were saved.
