Hebrews 6-8
“I will put My laws into their minds, and I will write them upon their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be My people” (8:10). Quoting Jeremiah 31, the author points out the extraordinary, intimate nature of the “new covenant” based on Jesus Christ. We are no longer excluded from God’s holy presence; instead, we can “enter within the veil, where Jesus has entered as a forerunner for us” (6:20). In Christ, we approach God with trust and confidence, and this is the anchor of our soul (6:19).
Our “strong encouragement” is that we are God’s children; we belong to Him (6:18).
