Daniel 10-12 

“Peace be with you; take courage and be courageous!” (10:19).  Daniel was given a vision of wars, kingdoms, and terrifying events.  How did this vision help a man in mourning (10:2)?  He was assured that in throughout history, “the people who know their God will display strength and take action” (11:32).  No matter what earthly leaders do, in the end, God’s people will “shine brightly like the brightness of the expanse of heaven … like the stars forever and ever” (12:3).

Even in the chaos of the world, our lives have purpose.  Like Daniel, we can live courageously, shining brightly in the darkness as we reflect God’s glory.
