Psalm 133
“Behold, how good and pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity!” (v1). This simple declaration tells us what God values: peace, cooperation, and friendship between His people. Just as the Trinity of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit exists eternally in joyful, mutual love, God created us to live the same way. The psalmist compared this unity to the oil which anointed Aaron, high priest of Israel, and like the dew that waters Zion, holy city of God.
Fellowship - without competition, jealousy, selfishness, or pride - is a taste of what God promises: “life forever” (v3).
