John 14:1-6

“I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me” (v6).  Thomas, always a practical and rather concrete thinker, was worried that the Master was going to disappear.  “Lord, we do not know where You are going, how do we know the way?” (v5)  Jesus reassured Thomas that he already knew, because he knew Jesus.  “I am the way.”  Jesus Himself is the key to understanding everything else: the Law, the Old Testament stories, our own past, present, and future. 

“All things have been created by Him and for Him” (Col 1:17).
