Jeremiah 29-35
“I will put My law within them, and on their heart I will write it” (32:33). Jeremiah prophesied both of a near-future (when the exiled Jews would return to their own land) and also of something global: “the new covenant” (31:31). God proved through the old covenant that He was completely faithful, declaring, “I have loved you with an everlasting love” (31:3). But the old covenant also revealed human sin, demonstrating our need for heart-transformation.
Through Jesus’ sacrifice and the Spirit’s anointing, God’s word is not only in a book – it is written on our transformed hearts.
