Psalm 56

"This I know, that God is for me ... In God I have put my trust, I shall not be afraid" (v9-11). The psalmist faced many challenges: from war, from deceitful friends, from his own spiritual failures. He poured out all his troubles to God, believing he was heard. "Put my tears in Thy bottle; are they not in Thy book?" (v8). This knowledge sustained him, and he leaned against God, whom he trusted.

All of life changes when we realize "that God is for me" (v9). From beginning to end, He loves us and wants our good.
