John 17

“For Thou didst love Me before the foundation of the world” (v24).  Though we can’t comprehend the love that existed within the Trinity of Father, Son and Spirit “before the foundation of the world,” we are invited to share that love.  Jesus prayed for us (v20): “Holy Father, keep them in Thy name … that they may be one, even as We are … that they also may be in Us” (v11-21).

Sin separated humans from the Creator and isolated us from each other. Through Jesus we are redeemed and adopted into God’s family, so that we can enjoy true friendship with God and one another.
