Psalm 57
"I will cry to God Most High, to God who accomplishes all things for me" (v2). The psalmist's God is mighty, holy, and kind enough to "send forth His lovingkindness and truth" (v3). God does not stay in heaven, watching us suffer and stumble through life. "My soul is among lions," the psalmist said. Loss of health, loss of job, grief, fear of the future, family conflict - we need the God who "accomplishes all things" for us.
God is "exalted above the heavens," yet He left heaven to save us. His love is a strong refuge (v1).
