Psalm 52

“The lovingkindness of God endures all day long” (v1).  While godless people boast about their evil, God’s people boast about His lovingkindness.  Destruction and riches go hand in hand (v2, 7), so it can seem like evil is “winning”.  But the psalmist knew that God’s love in the end conquers all.  His unstoppable good purposes for those who trust Him will endure “forever and ever” (v8), while those who reject Him will be “uprooted from the land of the living” (v5).

As “green olive trees” in God’s house, we can trust that His lovingkindness toward us is stronger than any darkness we face.
