John 10
"I am the good shepherd; and I know My own, and My own know Me" (v14). Jesus invited people into a close relationship based on intimacy and trust - "even as the Father knows Me and I know the Father" (v15). The love and loyalty between Father and Son spills over into God's love for us. The Good Shepherd gives His life for His sheep: God's love for us is not abstract, but active and personal. He knows our names; we know His voice.
Most people want to be truly known, understood, and accepted. This hunger can only be filled by Jesus.
