I Thessalonians 4-5
“And we urge you, brethren, admonish the unruly, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with all men” (5:14). Reassured that the Thessalonian believers loved the Lord, Paul gave them practical instructions about how to live in community. “Abstain from sexual immorality” (4:3). “Lead a quiet life and attend to your own business and work with your hands” (4:11). And when you grieve, “comfort one another” with the hope of eternal life (4:13-18).
“Live in peace with one another” (5:13). The world has enough troubles; our relationships with fellow believers should reflect the peace and love of Christ.
