September 21: John 8:1-30

John 8:1-30

“I am the light of the world; he who follows Me shall not walk in the darkness, but shall have the light of life” (v12). Jesus’ offer of life and light is free; he paid the cost to rescue us out of darkness by his own blood.  However, John says, “this is the judgment, that the Light came into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light” (3:19).  We can’t habitually choose sin over righteousness and walk with Jesus at the same time.

We don’t have to remain in darkness.  As we follow Jesus, His Light purifies and heals every part of us.
