September 22: John 6:1-25

John 6:1-25

“It is I; do not be afraid” (v20).  The disciples watched as Jesus fed 5000 with a few loaves and fish.  When they were on the sea in high winds, Jesus came walking on the water.  They were frightened, but when He spoke, “they were willing therefore to receive Him into the boat” (v21).  Letting this Man into their boat was an act of faith; in doing so, they began to accept that their Friend was also Master of the universe.

Small acts of faith – inviting Christ into a stormy area of life – change everything.  “Immediately” (v21) they reached their destination.
