September 25: John 7:25-53

John 7:25-53

"If any man is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink ..." (v37).  Jesus was well aware of the controversy surrounding Him.  People were arguing about whether the Messiah could come from Galilee, whether He was a peacemaker or a troublemaker, and whether His miracles proved anything. These issues were important, but Jesus asked an even more important question: Who is thirsty?

Jesus proved His identity by His teaching and life.  Those who recognized their own sin, emptiness, and brokenness humbly reached out for His living water.
