Philippians 2:13-30
“Do all things without grumbling or disputing, that you may prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach … lights in the world” (v14-15). As we imitate the sacrificial love of Christ, giving up honor so that we can serve others, we will shine brightly “in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation” (v15). In a world where everyone is competing for money, attention, fame, and honor, God calls us to be different.
As we cheerfully serve, God is also working in us “for His good pleasure.” His plans for us are far better than what we imagine for ourselves.
