Colossians 1
“We have not ceased to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that you may walk in a manner worthy of the Lord” (v9-10). Paul did not separate knowledge and behavior. He taught that as we grow in “the knowledge of God” (v10) and “spiritual wisdom,” we will also bear fruit in good deeds, patience, power, and joyful thanks.
Knowing the One we worship - “all things have been created by Him and for Him” (v16) – ensures we follow Him faithfully.
