Thursday, June 11

English Landing Park - 10:30 am.

Playground, frisbee golf, & picnic lunch. FREE

1201 East St, Parkville along river Meet at the park at 10:30. Pack a picnic lunch. There is a great frisbee golf course suitable for children who are interested.

Thursday, June 18

Rollerskating 2-4 pm - Northland Rolleradium Skate Center, 1020 S Kent St., Liberty, MO

Group rate: $3/person, includes skate rental, 2 hrs. skate time, & free soft drink. Let them know you are with Northland Cathedral for group discount.

Thursday, June 25

Shoal Creek Living History Museum, in Hodge Park, 7000 NE Barry Rd.

Meet at the church @ 10:15 departure, or at Shoal Creek @ 10:30. Pack a picnic & horseshoes – there are tables & modern restrooms. FREE. See an old schoolhouse, dr’s. office, grist mill.  Take 152 to Shoal Creek Pkwy & turn north, 1st left onto Barry Rd, right into Hodge Pk/1st left to the parking lot for the Living History Museum. They will have the historical buildings unlocked for us to do a self-guided tour, & even try to open the Mercantile for a short time (candy sticks, toys, etc).

Nelson Atkins Museum of Art

Meet at the church at 9:30. FREE, but parking is $5, so let’s carpool if we can! Whether you like outdoor sculptures, Egyptian artifacts, impressionist paintings, or something else, there’s something for everyone in your family. Pack a picnic to eat outdoors if the weather is good.

Kaleidoscope & LEGO exhibit, Crown Center

Meet at church at 12:20. We’ll carpool down to Kaleidoscope, for our 1:10 family art session. FREE, & be sure to get your parking pass validated. Feeling artsy? Kids color & press their own puzzle, make cards & 3-D fish... After our 40 min art session, we’ll check out the LEGO exhibit in Crown Center, by Level 1 atrium. Also FREE. Please sign up as we need to reserve a general number of slots.

 AMF Bowling – 217 NE Vivion Rd, Kansas City.

10 am-noon Our group rate is $6.50/person for 2 games (includes shoe rental). Sign up your family so we can give them an approx number.

10:30 - Park with water fun “spray ground!” Pack lunch & change of clothes. FREE Older children are invited to bring Super Soakers & horseshoes. Take 152 into Liberty, left of Morse, right on Mississippi, left on Grover.

TUESDAY, July 28

The Moon Marble Company, 600 E Front St, Bonner Springs, KS

Meet at church at 9:30. Pack a lunch. FREE

Want to see how marbles are made? Come carpool with us—the trip should take about 35 mins. We’ll visit the toy store & take turns attending the demo. You may want to bring some $--marbles cost $.10-$3.50. Then we’ll picnic at a park before returning.
