"For You, O Lord, have made me glad by what you have done. I will sing for joy at the works of Your hands."
-Psalm 92:4

The anthem for Sunday, May 17, will be "Empty" from our Easter musical The Story. Please review your part-specific recording on the Choir Listening page, and be here promptly at 8:45 for our warmup/runthrough.

Music is an integral part of worship. The dedicated singers, instrumentalists, dramatists and technicians of the Fine Arts Department regularly commit themselves to worship the Lord "in Spirit and in Truth." Our joy is enhanced by helping to lead others in experiencing God through genuine worship.

Our styles vary from contemporary to classical and our personnel from the professional to the dedicated amateur. There is always a place for the person who sincerely wishes to minister through the art with which God has gifted them. It would be a joy to share this ministry with you. For information on any of these opportunities for ministry, contact our Minister of Fine Arts and Associate Pastor, Ron Steen.

Cathedral Orchestra

The Cathedral Orchestra is the central instrumental music ministry of the Church. The Orchestra not only provides instrumental support to the Cathedral Choir, it also functions as an independent ministry during church services.

Smaller instrumental ensembles and soloists are frequently drawn from Orchestra personnel to provide music for many other church functions such as weddings and banquets. The Orchestra is open to instrumentalists ages High School and up.

Praise Teams

Our Praise Teams are made up of small groups of select vocalists and worship bands. Using the best of contemporary worship music combined with modern settings of classic hymns and praise choruses, our Praise Teams lead worship at the morning Celebration Service and Sunday night Agape Service.

To learn more about being a part of this ministry, contact Ron Steen or Jeffrey Mummert.

Celebration Team Leadership: Heidi Uptegrove and Carlton Quattlebaum.

Drama Ministry

This is an expressive outlet for those with the gift of acting. Our drama teams are utilized during our annual Easter production, as well as minister in services, with classes and special events.

Victory Band

Think big-band, think swing! This is the Church's jazz ensemble. With a repertoire of  hymns and Gospel music performed in a jazz style, the Victory Band is featured at Home Missions, baptismal services, and other special occasions throughout the year.
